we're kinda cuhrazy. be warned.
anyway...

the lighting sucks in these photos, but at least I have a cute little modeling partner, right?

this is what i wore to a bbq joint last night. they had a car show and a rock band playing. fuuuun.
but then our three year old kept running away and hiding behind cars, so we had to leave.
it was not fun chasing him around in those heels.

that's why i hardly ever wear them.

Work with what ya got!

Gatherings with high school friends are always fun. Especially when they involve food.
I got together with a few of my bff's from HS a few weeks ago for a crab feed. One of my friends suggested we wear our school colors, Purple and Gold, to "represent" (whoop, whoop!). So, I played along.
A few days before we got together, I started to freak out. What in the world was I going to wear? I really didn't want to go out and shop for something new. That's because I know when I go looking for a specific article of clothing, I wont find it or I wont like what I find. It never fails. So, I worked with what I had.

(sorry for the totally wierd pic of my boots. I LOVE these puppies. You just can't see them in the photo and I had to share.)

Never doubt your wardrobe. You never need something new to pull together a great new look. At no time ever have I work these pieces together and I must say, I pulled the school colors together pretty darn good.
(Insert High-Five here)
Purple cardi, gold necklace, and brown belt to match my brown rockin' boots.

Have a little faith in yourself ladies (and gents, if there are any reading). What ever you wear, wear it proudly. When you walk, don't just walk... strut. Don't look at the ground. If people pass by you, look them in the eye and smile.

Here's your song:

All eyes on me when I walk in,
No question that this girl's a 10
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful
My walk, my talk the way I dress
It's not my fault so please don't trip
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful

Kind of conceited but oh well. ha.

Happy Blogging my beautiful friends <3

P.S- Please excuse my bangs... I did a no-no and cut them myself because I was too lazy to go in and get them trimmed. Please don't do this to yourself.

Thoughts on Revenge

Yesterday, a friend and I took our kids outlet shopping.
2 one year olds, one 2 year old, and a four year old.
Landon found a table full of nicely folded lace panties at Maurice's,
picked them up and threw them everywhere.
It was awesome.
And by that I mean awesomely embarrassing.
It took about 10 minutes to have him help me fold each one, and put it back on the table.
That's not the most embarrassing part of the day though.
Oh, no no.
My friend dared me to go down the slide with Harper.
I can't resist a dare, even if it does involve going down a large yellow tube slide that smells like urine.
Off I went, mistakenly leaving my iphone behind.
Afterwards, she kindly carried my purse to the car for me, which I thought was odd because we have the same number of kids, and then she left it in the trunk, which should have raised another red flag.
I got home, put the boys down for naps, checked facebook, and had about a million congratulatory messages, under my status which read:
"Number three is on the way."
I'm NOT pregnant!
Then I checked my phone.
Missed phone calls, confused text messages.
Even my husband called asking,
"Is it true? How could that be possible...?
I quickly started damage control.
And then, began to plot revenge.
Muahahaha.
Too bad housework and taking care of kids got in the way of that, because before I knew it,
it was almost 7:00 and time to get ready for Tuesday Night Scripture Class.
We discussed the Mosaic law:
an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
I glared at my "friend" sitting next to me.
"Just know whatever you do to me, I'll do ten times worse to you, " she whispered.
Then we discussed the Celestial Law.
Have compassion on their perishing soul... ;]
Turn the other cheek.

So0o0o...
what to do, my friends?
What to do?

Rule Breaking Monday

Here's what I wore to church yesterday.
Try not to be blinded by the whiteness of my legs.
I don't know how I can wear five inch heels and still look so short. Sad.
But anyway, the rule I broke:
wearing a purple cardi with a pattern that has absolutely no purple in it.
So, what do you think?
Is this a big no-no, or could I swing it again?

Flower Necklace

I've been wanting to make a flower necklace for awhile now.
I have one from Forever21 that I wear all too often, so it was time to change it up.
Andrea and I gathered supplies and were ready to get crafting.
Our boys had other ideas in mind.
They tore into our supplies, climbed on the table, fell off the table, bawled their cute little eyes out, and just plain drove us crazy.

So... we packed up the jogger stroller and monkey leash
and took them to the park, hoping to wear them out.

(someone asked if they were triplets...we said yes)

Andrea's poor guy was teething, so she took him home.
My little guys actually, for once in my life, fell asleep at the same time.
So, I worked my little fingers as fast as I could to finish this little beauty.
We will be making more because obviously poor Dre didn't get to finish hers.
So, tutorial to come soon. :)
Really, my kids cannot leave me alone for a second.
Hence, the random little arm in this pic.
Ahh, I love them.

Free Clothes?!

This is my beautiful friend, Roberta.
I swear, we knew each other in the pre existence.
 Anyway,
she's so awesome, she found this super cute green blazer at the thrift store and bought it for me!
Real friends thrift for friends.
And, my momma gave me these hooch boots.
I can never resist a hand-me-down.
Especially, when they're this hoochiliscious.
Tip of the day:
When your Mormon, and wanna look a little secksy, just put on some scandalous shoes.
Thanks, Mom!

We met at the Singles Ward...

Andrea [anne-dray-uh] and Kali [kay-lee]

Wanna know a cool story about the posters on this blog?
We met at the Singles Ward... sounds like a love story. Okay, it is.
We became great friends right off the bat, took concert trips to San Francisco, stayed up late with ice cream and disney movies, even road tripped to Mexico. Yeah, we're crazy.
We talked about boys, about our dreams, and about living right next door to each other with our husbands, having babies at the same time, and pushing jogger strollers side-by-side to the playground.

Then, I got married. Then, she got married and moved far, far away. 20 minutes! Life happened, and we didn't hang out so much.

But, we did manage to have our babies on the same exact day!

And, guess what! Andrea and I recently moved into the same ward. AND, we were both called to Young Women's. It has been so much fun to work with her in there and to see our little guys playing together in nursery.

I'm so happy to be doing this blog with her. She's so funny and stylish. Stay tuned and watch for her posts. (I've threatened her for not posting enough, so she's rededicated). ;)

Here's what we wore to church yesterday:

Anthro-esque Cardi $6.00

It seems like every blogger I come across is talking about Anthropologie. I'm not gonna lie, I don't think I've even stepped into one. I've drooled over their free catalogues and online look book, but if I want to continue staying at home with my babies, I better stay the heck out of there.

But, I found this yellow, ruffled Anthro-esque cardigan at Old Navy a few weeks ago and had to have it. Lucky for me, it was on clearance for $12, and on top of that, clearance was 50% off that particular weekend. Score!
After taking these last two pics, I realized I should never, ever pin my bangs back. My forehead
fivehead is just too humungous.

P.S. I'm not really talking on the phone.

Finders Keepers

I am a true lover of wedges.
They are super comfortable, there isn't a skinny stem of a stiletto that some can barely walk on (especially on grass... I've fallen before because my stilleto was caught in the grass (Did I mention while I was holding my 15 month old son AND it was at a funeral.),  and they are versatile. They are the perfect shoes for spring/summer. Fabulous with shorts, skirts, dresses, pants... anything else?

Payless has a very pleasing assortment of cute, cute, cute wedges right now... for $19.99. Holla Holla!

Wishlist

bday wish
It's not too much to ask for, right?
I mean, my birthday's still almost 2 months away.

April 10th.
The same day as my almost three year old.
Here's his list, which I find highly entertaining.
l's wish
That's right, a green bug shirt, a green car, a toothbrush (for Harper...haha), a beach ball, a puppy, and he asked for a baby, because his friends are going to have a new baby in their family.
He specifically requested for a sister,
which makes the puppy sound a lot more do-able.

(after eating about 40 strawberries in his white Ralph Lauren sweater...
thank goodness for Shout sticks)

{ tutorial } from old t-shirts to a cute ringlet scarf

This scarf is so easy, you can have it finished by the end of nap time.
Now that's my kinda craft.
First, gather three old t-shirts or any cotton stretchy tees. I used my old maternity tops.

Cut the hem off next and put it aside. You'll be using it to connect the rings later.
Next, cut ten 3/4 inch strips from each shirt.

 Stretch them out.
And wrap them around your hand.
Then you should have 30 rings that look like this.
Cut the hemlines into five inch strips and use them to tie off the ringlets.
There you go.
You have a pretty sweet scarf now and can consider yourself eco-friendly.
*Please ignore my wrinkles/under eye bags/muffin top.

I would love to see yours! Email pics to:

Wedding Ensemble Fail

I'm sorry I haven't posted in forever. My next post was supposed to be about Children's Fashion's, but my models have been puking all over the place.

And what's really been consuming my thoughts is my dear cousin, Adam. He's been on life support and passed away yesterday.

For now, I'm trying to keep my mind off of the sadness. So...

I've been looking through my wedding pictures, and I hate the way I look. Seriously, I'm hideous. We were in a car accident on the way to the temple, and my jewelry flew out only to be run over on the highway. Even my shoes were run over, but by golly, they held up, so I wore them with scrapes and tire marks anyway. So, I'm wearing no jewelry and busted up shoes. I want to burn my dress, and actually did burn the veil, but that was an accident.

I spend a lot of time thinking about this, and if I could do it over again, here's what I would be wearing:

This headpiece is stunning.
I love the simplicity of this dress, and I may just have to get the necklace.
I'm so into these little handcrafted flowers. I really need to figure out how to make them.
Craft day, anyone?

headpiece. necklace. dress. shoes.

P.S. I just found a tutorial for these awesome flowers! I love the internet.

Rules?

Here we are (and by we, I mean me) mixing Spring and Winter clothing and accessories.
You guys probably think this is the only necklace I own and that I wear it everyday. I don't wear it everyday; only when I take outfit pics. :)

Which is pretty much never. But after my previous post, now you know why. Their names are Landon and Harper. They are stinkers that take up every ounce of my time. Yes, I love it.
