Work with what ya got!

Gatherings with high school friends are always fun. Especially when they involve food.
I got together with a few of my bff's from HS a few weeks ago for a crab feed. One of my friends suggested we wear our school colors, Purple and Gold, to "represent" (whoop, whoop!). So, I played along.
A few days before we got together, I started to freak out. What in the world was I going to wear? I really didn't want to go out and shop for something new. That's because I know when I go looking for a specific article of clothing, I wont find it or I wont like what I find. It never fails. So, I worked with what I had.

(sorry for the totally wierd pic of my boots. I LOVE these puppies. You just can't see them in the photo and I had to share.)

Never doubt your wardrobe. You never need something new to pull together a great new look. At no time ever have I work these pieces together and I must say, I pulled the school colors together pretty darn good.
(Insert High-Five here)
Purple cardi, gold necklace, and brown belt to match my brown rockin' boots.

Have a little faith in yourself ladies (and gents, if there are any reading). What ever you wear, wear it proudly. When you walk, don't just walk... strut. Don't look at the ground. If people pass by you, look them in the eye and smile.

Here's your song:

All eyes on me when I walk in,
No question that this girl's a 10
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful
My walk, my talk the way I dress
It's not my fault so please don't trip
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful

Kind of conceited but oh well. ha.

Happy Blogging my beautiful friends <3

P.S- Please excuse my bangs... I did a no-no and cut them myself because I was too lazy to go in and get them trimmed. Please don't do this to yourself.

Thoughts on Revenge

Yesterday, a friend and I took our kids outlet shopping.
2 one year olds, one 2 year old, and a four year old.
Landon found a table full of nicely folded lace panties at Maurice's,
picked them up and threw them everywhere.
It was awesome.
And by that I mean awesomely embarrassing.
It took about 10 minutes to have him help me fold each one, and put it back on the table.
That's not the most embarrassing part of the day though.
Oh, no no.
My friend dared me to go down the slide with Harper.
I can't resist a dare, even if it does involve going down a large yellow tube slide that smells like urine.
Off I went, mistakenly leaving my iphone behind.
Afterwards, she kindly carried my purse to the car for me, which I thought was odd because we have the same number of kids, and then she left it in the trunk, which should have raised another red flag.
I got home, put the boys down for naps, checked facebook, and had about a million congratulatory messages, under my status which read:
"Number three is on the way."
I'm NOT pregnant!
Then I checked my phone.
Missed phone calls, confused text messages.
Even my husband called asking,
"Is it true? How could that be possible...?
I quickly started damage control.
And then, began to plot revenge.
Muahahaha.
Too bad housework and taking care of kids got in the way of that, because before I knew it,
it was almost 7:00 and time to get ready for Tuesday Night Scripture Class.
We discussed the Mosaic law:
an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
I glared at my "friend" sitting next to me.
"Just know whatever you do to me, I'll do ten times worse to you, " she whispered.
Then we discussed the Celestial Law.
Have compassion on their perishing soul... ;]
Turn the other cheek.

So0o0o...
what to do, my friends?
What to do?

Rule Breaking Monday

Here's what I wore to church yesterday.
Try not to be blinded by the whiteness of my legs.
I don't know how I can wear five inch heels and still look so short. Sad.
But anyway, the rule I broke:
wearing a purple cardi with a pattern that has absolutely no purple in it.
So, what do you think?
Is this a big no-no, or could I swing it again?

Flower Necklace

I've been wanting to make a flower necklace for awhile now.
I have one from Forever21 that I wear all too often, so it was time to change it up.
Andrea and I gathered supplies and were ready to get crafting.
Our boys had other ideas in mind.
They tore into our supplies, climbed on the table, fell off the table, bawled their cute little eyes out, and just plain drove us crazy.

So... we packed up the jogger stroller and monkey leash
and took them to the park, hoping to wear them out.

(someone asked if they were triplets...we said yes)

Andrea's poor guy was teething, so she took him home.
My little guys actually, for once in my life, fell asleep at the same time.
So, I worked my little fingers as fast as I could to finish this little beauty.
We will be making more because obviously poor Dre didn't get to finish hers.
So, tutorial to come soon. :)
Really, my kids cannot leave me alone for a second.
Hence, the random little arm in this pic.
Ahh, I love them.

Free Clothes?!

This is my beautiful friend, Roberta.
I swear, we knew each other in the pre existence.
 Anyway,
she's so awesome, she found this super cute green blazer at the thrift store and bought it for me!
Real friends thrift for friends.
And, my momma gave me these hooch boots.
I can never resist a hand-me-down.
Especially, when they're this hoochiliscious.
Tip of the day:
When your Mormon, and wanna look a little secksy, just put on some scandalous shoes.
Thanks, Mom!
